Xirokastello is located a bit after you have passed by Argassi, in the peninsula of Scopos, in the area of Vassilikos. From the top of Scopos we have views of the entire island to the neighbouring island of Kefalonia and Peloponnese. A large part of the mountainous and wooded area of Vassilikos forms a part of the protected environmental area of Marina Park, under whose protection the sea turtles and beaches are. In case someone would like a more vivid life, there are many possibilities to go shopping and have a good time in a distance of 1km to Argassi or 3km to the capital of Zante.
